Jenny Humphrey is the founder member of J2HDI and has over 23 years experience in the interior decorating industry, specialising in exclusive window dressings and soft furnishings.
Jenny has an extensive knowledge of fabrics and understands the correct application for the required design and end use.
With an intuitive sense of her clients’ personalities, tastes and individual needs, Jenny is able to interpret this innovatively into beautifully designed and decorated homes, showrooms and offices.
Her perfection and attention to detail is unrivaled in the industry and ensures that clients receive workmanship of the highest standard.
Jenny’s resolve has spearheaded the company’s growth and has earned her accolades in the industry from suppliers, local and international clients alike. Her bespoke designs currently adorn many international homes, lodges and ministerial residences.
Joao Ribeiro is the other J in J2HDI.
He has over the past 20 years developed a passion for property restoration and renovation as well as interior design. He began investing in sites with real heritage and architectural merit and in 2005 purchased Johannesburg’s Rosebank Post Office; a landmark building built at the turn of the 20th century. He then began the process of restoring the impressive skeleton to its original neo-classical beauty and co-founded The Monarch Boutique Hotel within its walls.
It was at this point that his collaboration with Jenny Humphrey began and their combined synergy eventually led to their current partnership.
Joao’s property development expertise spans 20 years and in the last 15 he has executed several turn-key restoration projects and been directly exposed to the work of acclaimed architects Jo Noero, Michael Sutton, Robert Howden, Herbert Baker and Peter Rich.
The 5 years comprehensive hospitality experience which included funding, design and operating The Monarch have proved invaluable in shaping Joao’s career.
At J2HDI, Joao is able to marry his passion for property and interior design to execute new and existing hospitality developments, turn key renovations, both local and abroad as well as complex installations requiring hands-on project management.
Janis grew up around a world of creativity, oodles of material, colour and design while spending countless hours in her parents’ fabric store and workroom during school holidays. There she was exposed to incredible and forever modifying creativity, workmanship and top rank ethics. This was a veritable crash course on the ins and outs of handling people and their space.
Janis believes any goal set out and achieved is always a group effort. This requires a shift in thought process and an understanding of each member’s role and desired outcome in a project.
Her abilities and “know-how” have added much value to various assignments while her “can-do” attitude and expertise have been a contributing factor in time management and budget saving operations.
She has thorough knowledge of the working and home environment with valuable and extensive experience in the field of executive personal assistance, retail, marketing, events and project management. She has been an asset to some big names in business such as Luksbrands, Hurley, Skullcandy, & Euroswiss.

Francois’ love for Décor and Design started from a young age. He was brought up with a perfect balance of creative and technical influences from his family.
Regularly remodeling and redesigning rooms in the homes he grew up in sparked the desire to go on a career path that would allow him to continue doing it for a living.
At the age of 20 he jumped at the opportunity to step into the Interior Design Industry and he has been enjoying each moment ever since.
He has been a key participator in projects like events décor, furniture design, paint finishes, large scale installations and received extensive training and experience in curtaining design. His passions lie in the detail, from conceptual through to manufacturing down to the envisaged end product. He always strives to improve his skills to ultimately deliver a seamless experience while creating the perfect home for our clients.

Joyce is a positively motivated individual who provides a high level of administrative support to enable the smooth running of a busy office. With a good educational background and 20 years of operational and financial experience, she is a team player proficient in a wide range of computer applications. Her expertise in strong administrative and accounting skills has contributed to her demonstrated success in various industries : Retail, Shipping, Property, Investments Management, Hospitality and Interior Design.
She is an independent worker, able to multi task and meet deadlines efficiently by managing a number of simultaneous projects consistently and accurately. She manage both financial and bookkeeping responsibilities along with general administration and customer service tasks.
